The Ain't Sisters
Fun, eclectic folk rock. Fronted by the deliciously androgynous duo Arrie Bozeman and Barb Carbon, the Aints deliver high-energy performances of their wildly diverse original music. Joined by the hardest working men in rock n Roll, Richie Jones on the Boom Chick thwackita whackita, and Justin Boudreau, aka BooDreamy, masterfully holding down the rhythm section and making everybody swoon with their gorgeous licks. Think Indigo Girls meets Dream Theater but with a little Birdcloud in the mix.
If ya ain’t sisters, what are ya?
Lee-Ann Lovelace
Lee-Ann Lovelace is a powerhouse vocalist, songwriter, and live performer whose musical versatility has made her one of the most compelling voices in the New England music scene. Based in Waterbury, Connecticut, Lovelace has spent more than two decades building a career defined by authenticity, emotional depth, and an ability to move effortlessly across genres. Whether delivering the intimacy of a jazz ballad, the grit of roots and Americana, or the soaring energy of blues-driven rock and soul, she brings a rare combination of technical skill and raw emotional honesty to every performance.
For over 20 years, Lovelace has recorded with a wide array of regional and international artists. Her adaptability has made her a favorite choice for both studio work and live performance, and she has recorded with many notable musicians, including the late producer Paul Leka.
On stage, Lovelace is a commanding and charismatic performer. She has opened for nationally recognized artists such as Bruce Hornsby, Ronnie Spector, and Christine Ohlman, bringing her distinctive blend of power and finesse to audiences of all sizes. Her live work ranges from intimate duo performances to full-scale electrified shows, and she often incorporates her students—whom she mentors as a vocal coach—into select performances, reflecting her belief in the power of musical community.
In 2020, Lovelace expanded her musical reach by joining Back to the Garden 1969, a celebrated tribute ensemble dedicated to the spirit and music of Woodstock. The project further showcased her interpretive range, allowing her to take on iconic material from an era that shaped generations of artists while still infusing the music with her own voice and character.
Though best known for her live performances, Lovelace has increasingly stepped into the spotlight as a songwriter. After years of developing original material, she released her debut single, “Dirty Water,” a single accompanied by a music video conceptualized by Lovelace in 2022. The track debuted to enthusiastic support from New England audiences and signaled the beginning of a new phase in her creative life. In early 2023, she followed it with “Drink It Down,” further establishing her artistic identity as a writer with roots in blues, rock, and Americana, but with a voice uniquely her own.
These singles serve as a preview of her forthcoming full-length album—an intensely personal project that Lovelace describes as the culmination of “a long, strange 21 years” of growth, experimentation, heartbreak, reinvention, and artistic discovery. The upcoming album draws heavily from her lived experience, blending storytelling with the vocal depth and emotional nuance that audiences have come to expect from her.
Today, Lee-Ann Lovelace stands as a multi-dimensional artist: a commanding vocalist, a thoughtful songwriter, a fearless performer, and a mentor who fosters the voices of others. Her music is shaped by the diverse styles she inhabits—jazz, folk, rock, blues, soul, and Americana—yet remains undeniably singular. With new music on the horizon and a career defined by both longevity and constant evolution, Lovelace continues to carve out her own space in the musical landscape, one unforgettable performance at a time.
Her versatility holds true in her original compositions, and her original band spans from 6-10 pieces depending on the venue. The band's torque is fueled by her powerful vocals, deep grooves, vocal harmonies, and a horn section that hits like a sonic left hook.
