Sea Shanty Night returns to Cafe Nine! My Druthers are back in the NHV saddle on Wed March 12, this time accompanied by the no-joke most baddest ass & talented group of shantywomen these eyes have ever seen…ever.

I said the following onstage at the Dreadnoughts show and didn’t get cancelled, so I’ll say it again: These gals have more balls than just about any all-male group of shantymen I’ve seen anywhere. If you think they’re good, you’re wrong. They’re better. Don’t believe me? Ask Pete Seeger. The gals started singing back in 1997, and when Seeger saw them perform in 2000 he said and I quote, “I didn’t know women could sing like that!” Word up Pete, rest easy brother.

They’re gonna be headlining the night, as anyone who plays after them is destined to perish in flames. Come one, come all to see one of the greatest sea shanty groups in all of New England. Be sure to bring your singin voices - see ya there!
