Taken Alive is a dynamic alternative emo band formed by veterans of the Vans Warped Tour scene. The band works diligently to capture raw emotion in songs that feel modern, yet have clear connections with the soundtrack of their formative years (the early 2000s emo scene).

Father Before Me

Building on influences from Bayside and AFI to Iron Maiden and Avenged Sevenfold via a thematic detour through the wider sci-fi and fantasy canons, Father Before Me’s signature sound — a distinct blend of pop, skate, and prog punk with a post-hardcore edge — pairs catchy metal riffs, fast-paced punk rhythms, and progressive instrumentation with a lyrical approach that pays respect to those who came before, shows gratitude for those currently here, and paves the way for those to come.
