Kriss Santala is bringing the jams back to Friday happy hours here at Cafe Nine! Come down from 5-7 PM and enjoy performances by some of New Haven's best musicians and singers, and best of all, admission is FREE! Bring some money for the musician's tip jar and get your weekend kicked off right at Cafe Nine. 

Bruce and Loralee Crowder are a two-piece acoustic duo known for rendering an eclectic blend of roots, rock, alt-country, and vintage soul. Their story began in 2004 at a rock show in New Haven, where a shared love of music sparked an instant connection—and a lasting creative partnership. They soon formed the band “Mercy Meadows”, which performed throughout New England for the better part of a decade. 

With rich harmonies and warm acoustic textures, their sound feels both timeless and deeply personal. Over the years, they’ve shared the stage with legends and rising stars alike, including Tony Joe White, Fred Eaglesmith, Eilen Jewell, The Two Man Gentlemen Band, Heather Maloney, Jon Rauhouse, and Rachel Flotard, and Little Silver.
