Elm City Big Band

Enjoy a free Sunday matinee show and swing dance lesson with New Haven's very own swing orchestra and the Elm City Swing Club!

The Elm City Big Band is a collective of CT's finest jazz musicians all together in a big band format, playing classic swing tunes in the time honored tradition of Duke Ellington, Count Basie & Glenn Miller.

The Elm City Swing & Blues Club will be teaching a free swing dance lesson starting at 3:30 PM. This is a beginner-level class that is open to all dancers! Bring a friend or partner, or meet somebody new and cut a rug. After the dance lesson has concluded, the band will play, giving you the opportunity to try your new moves out on the dance floor.
