Cryptodira
Cryptodira seamlessly blends precise riffing, melancholic soundscapes, and raw, feedback-driven aggression.
Since their 2017 debut, The Devil’s Despair, Cryptodira has stood apart with intricate riffs, melancholic atmospheres, and unfiltered intensity. Their 2020 follow-up, The Angel of History, pushed boundaries further, embracing experimentation and exploring themes of historical oppression.
Extensive touring across the USA, Canada, and Europe/UK has seen them share stages with progressive heavyweights like Between the Buried and Me, Haken, Intervals, Rolo Tomassi, Veil of Maya, The Number Twelve Looks Like You, and Animals as Leaders.
With their upcoming release, founding members Scott Acquavella, Mike Monaco, and Matthew Taibi, along with new bassist Vincent Romanelli (Moon Tooth), begin a new chapter.
En Masse
Influenced by the alternative heavy music renaissance of the 2000’s, en | MASSE is a force beyond audible energy that displays a passionate ferocity while also blending in softer elements one could find in the shoegaze or alt rock side of the music spectrum. Founded in 2018, en | MASSE steadily went from local shows to touring along the east coast maintaining their DIY ethos while building a dedicated following of fans who appreciate the nostalgia of the 2000’s while eagerly ready to indulge in a new sonic experience.
In 2023, “Burdened Youth” was released into the world marking the band’s debut and self released album, recorded and produced by Adam Cichocki at Timber Studios.
en | MASSE are set to release their next sonic endeavor, the “newviolenttrends.” EP on June 20th 2025 via Fever LTD
Warm
That which is jagged at its edge is beautiful, and that which is perfect may yet annihilate us.
And there may not be hope unless we forge it ourselves.
Unsurprising, then, that a crucible fed with fiery riffage dealt with exacting purpose and furious utterances of reflective awareness would yield the likes of Warm.
Informed by heavy metal’s swagger but defined by post-hardcore’s restraint,
Warm is a quartet of longtime friends hailing from the southern cradle of New England.
The dual guitar histrionics of Michael Taylor & K. Edward O’Connor are anchored by the calamitous thunder & gleam of Willow Emmerich’s bass and the ever-transient rhythmic constellations of Eric Holle.
Together they brandish all that is heavy, wielding the warring forces of profane incidence vs. inspired finesse.
