Cafe Nine is located in the historic
Ninth Square district in downtown New Haven. Look for us
at 250 State St. - one block north of where the New Haven
Coliseum used to be (it
was demolished).
Free parking is available with
paid admission. Use the LAZ lot behind Cafe Nine.
Ask the doorman or bartender for voucher. Parking also is available on surrounding streets (free on weekends and after 7 p.m. weekdays).
From north of New Haven:
- Take I-91 to Exit 3
- Turn left at end of exit, onto Orange
Street
- Go 6 blocks
- Turn left onto Chapel Street
- Turn right onto State Street
- Cafe Nine is one block south
From east of New Haven:
- Take I-95 south to Route 34 (Exit
47 - Downtown New Haven)
- Stay in the right-hand lane
- Take Exit 1 off Route 34
- Go straight to the first stoplight.
- Turn right onto Church Street
- Go 1 block
- Turn right onto George Street
- Go 2 blocks
- Turn left on State Street
- Cafe Nine is one block north, at the corner of State and Crown streets
From west of New Haven:
- Take I-95 north to Route 34 (Exit
47 - Downtown New Haven)
- Merge to the right-hand lane on Route
34
- Take Exit 1 off Route 34
- Go straight to the first stoplight.
- Turn right onto Church Street
- Go 1 block
- Turn right onto George Street
- Go 2 blocks
- Turn left on State Street
- Cafe Nine is one block north, at the corner of State and Crown streets
From the Naugatuck Valley area:
- Take Route 34 east
- Turn right onto Ella T. Grasso Boulevard
(Route 10)
- Turn left onto Legion Avenue and continue
past Yale-New Haven Hospital
- Turn left onto Church Street
- Cross the bridge and go 1 block
- Turn right onto George Street
- Go 2 blocks
- Turn left onto State Street
- Cafe Nine is one block north, at the corner of State and Crown streets
